Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 3 tbsp Honey
  • 3 tbsp Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 0.5 tsp Ground cumin
  • 0.5 tsp Paprika
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, lime juice, olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Step 2

Place the peeled and deveined shrimp into a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.

Step 3

Pour the marinade over the shrimp, ensuring all pieces are evenly coated.

Step 4

Seal the bag (or cover the dish with plastic wrap) and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 1 hour for the shrimp to absorb the flavors. Do not marinate for longer than 1 hour to prevent the shrimp from becoming mushy due to the acidity of the lime juice.

Step 5

When ready to cook, remove the shrimp from the marinade and discard any unused marinade. Cook the shrimp as desired – grill over medium-high heat, sauté in a skillet, or broil in a hot oven – until the shrimp turn pink and opaque (approximately 2-3 minutes per side).

Step 6

Serve hot with your favorite side dishes such as rice, grilled vegetables, or a fresh green salad.
