Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.75 cups Unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cups Creamy peanut butter
  • 0.75 cups Honey
  • 0.5 cups Granulated sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cups Whole milk
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 0.25 cups Peanut butter for glaze
  • 2 tablespoons Milk for glaze
  • 0.5 cups Crushed peanuts

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans, or line them with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, peanut butter, honey, and granulated sugar together using an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 4

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture in three additions, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Step 6

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and smooth the tops with a spatula.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cakes comes out clean.

Step 8

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn them out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 9

While the cakes cool, prepare the peanut butter glaze. In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, 1/4 cup peanut butter, and 2 tablespoons milk until smooth. Add more milk if necessary to reach a pourable consistency.

Step 10

Once the cakes are cool, place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a thin layer of glaze over the top, then place the second cake layer on top.

Step 11

Pour the remaining glaze over the top of the cake and let it drip down the sides.

Step 12

Sprinkle crushed peanuts over the glaze and allow the cake to set for 15-20 minutes before serving.

Step 13

Slice and enjoy this nutty, sweet, and irresistible cake!
