Ingredients

  • 1 pound Pork tenderloin
  • 3 tablespoons Honey
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoons Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 stalks Green onions (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, freshly grated ginger, minced garlic, olive oil, rice vinegar, ground black pepper, and salt to create the marinade.

Step 2

Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring the meat is fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to overnight for maximum flavor.

Step 3

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 4

Heat a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the pork tenderloin from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off, and reserve the marinade for later use.

Step 5

Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet and sear the pork tenderloin on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.

Step 6

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for approximately 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C) when checked with a meat thermometer.

Step 7

While the pork cooks, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat.

Step 8

Once the pork tenderloin has finished cooking, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing into medallions.

Step 9

Drizzle the thickened marinade sauce over the sliced pork. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.

Step 10

Serve warm alongside your favorite side dishes such as steamed rice or roasted vegetables.
