Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and add them to the bowl. Toss the wings with the dry mixture until they are evenly coated.

Step 3

Arrange the coated wings on the wire rack, leaving a little space between each piece. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.

Step 4

While the wings are baking, prepare the honey garlic sauce. In a small saucepan, heat the vegetable oil and butter over medium heat.

Step 5

Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant, but not browned.

Step 6

Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Step 7

Remove the sauce from heat and set aside.

Step 8

Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven and place them in a large heatproof bowl.

Step 9

Pour the honey garlic sauce over the wings and toss to coat them evenly.

Step 10

Transfer the coated wings to a serving platter, garnished with chopped parsley and sesame seeds.

Step 11

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious honey garlic wings!
