Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Ribeye steak (or steak of choice)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Take the steaks out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature. This ensures even cooking.

Step 2

Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and black pepper.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet or cast iron pan over high heat. Add olive oil and allow it to get hot, just until it starts to shimmer.

Step 4

Place the steaks in the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust time based on your preferred doneness). Avoid moving the steak while searing to achieve a good crust.

Step 5
