Ingredients

  • 1 cup Granulated white sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar, packed

  • 0.5 teaspoon Vanilla extract (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, combine the water, granulated white sugar, and brown sugar. Stir to mix well.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir the mixture occasionally until the sugars have completely dissolved.

Increase the heat to medium-high and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Allow it to boil for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent the syrup from sticking to the pan.
