Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter

  • 4 cups Vegetable oil
  • 2 cups Powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Maple extract
  • 2 tablespoons Whole milk (for glaze)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, and active dry yeast.

In a small saucepan, warm 1 cup of milk and 4 tablespoons of butter over low heat until the butter is melted. Allow the mixture to cool until it's lukewarm.

Add the milk-butter mixture and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
