Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 2 cups Elbow macaroni
  • 3 cups Beef broth
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a large skillet or sauté pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess grease and remove the beef from the skillet. Set it aside.

Step 2

In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour, stirring constantly, to create a roux. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the roux is golden and smooth.

Step 3

Slowly whisk in the beef broth and milk, ensuring the roux is fully dissolved. Continue stirring until the mixture starts to thicken, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 4

Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the sauce. Stir well to combine.

Step 5

Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet and mix it into the sauce.

Step 6

Add the elbow macaroni to the skillet and stir to evenly distribute. Cover the skillet with a lid and allow it to simmer over low heat for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until the macaroni is tender.

Step 7

Once the macaroni is cooked, remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy.

Step 8

Serve immediately. Enjoy your homemade cheeseburger macaroni!
