Ingredients

  • 1 pound Raw shrimp (peeled and deveined, 16/20 size)
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoons Cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • 6 skewers Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, oregano, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.

Step 2

Add the raw shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the shrimp to marinate.

Step 3

While the shrimp is marinating, soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from burning on the grill.

Step 4

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F). Lightly grease the grates to prevent sticking.

Step 5

Thread the marinated shrimp onto the soaked skewers, piercing through both the tail and the thickest part of each shrimp to secure them.

Step 6

Place the shrimp skewers on the preheated grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook.

Step 7

Remove the skewers from the grill and transfer to a serving platter. Optionally, garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh burst of flavor.

Step 8

Serve immediately with your favorite sides, such as grilled vegetables, a light salad, or rice.
