Directions

Step 1

Begin by preparing the beef chuck roast. Trim any excess fat and pat the meat dry with paper towels. Season the meat generously with salt, pepper, thyme, and smoked paprika on all sides.

Peel the large yellow onions and slice them into thin rings. Peel and mince the garlic cloves.
