Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 0.25 cup almond flour
  • 0.5 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, almond flour, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped oregano, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Mix the ingredients gently with your hands until everything is well combined but do not overmix, as this could make the meatballs tough.

Step 4

Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form a meatball. Continue this process until all the mixture is used, placing each meatball onto the prepared baking sheet.

Step 5

Brush the meatballs with olive oil to help them brown and become crispy while baking.

Step 6

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Step 7

Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Step 8

Serve hot as an appetizer with your favorite dipping sauce, or over pasta, rice, or a fresh salad for a hearty meal.
