Ingredients

  • 1 small head Cabbage
  • 14 oz Extra firm tofu
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 1 medium Red bell pepper
  • 2 stalks Green onions
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

First, prepare all ingredients. Shred the cabbage finely and set aside. Cut the extra firm tofu into small cubes.

Step 2

Mince the garlic and ginger. Slice the red bell pepper into thin strips and chop the green onions finely.

Step 3

In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Add the tofu cubes and cook until they are golden on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the shredded cabbage and red bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables start to soften.

Step 7

Stir in the cooked tofu, soy sauce, sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes, stirring well to combine all the ingredients.

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
