Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 unit small onion, diced
  • 3 units garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 200 grams canned black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 12 units whole wheat mini taco shells
  • 100 grams shredded lettuce
  • 150 grams cherry tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 unit avocado, diced
  • 100 grams shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 unit lime, cut into wedges

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 3

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.

Step 4

Add the ground turkey to the skillet, cooking and breaking it up with a spatula until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.

Once the turkey is cooked, drain any excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning.
