Ingredients

  • 16 oz lean ground beef (at least 90% lean)
  • 8 oz ground turkey breast
  • 4 oz low-fat cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef and ground turkey breast. Use your hands or a spoon to mix them well.

Step 2

Add the shredded low-fat cheddar cheese, egg, chopped onion, and panko breadcrumbs to the meat mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Step 3

Pour in the Worcestershire sauce and sprinkle the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper over the mixture. Stir until distributed evenly.

Step 4

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick and 4 inches in diameter.

Step 5

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the patties to the skillet.

Step 6

Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) and are browned on the outside.

Step 7

Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Step 8

Serve the high protein juicy cheeseburger patties on whole grain buns with your choice of toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
