Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 scoop Whey protein powder
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup Maple syrup

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whey protein powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.

Step 2

In another bowl, beat the eggs lightly, then add the milk, and vanilla extract. Stir in the melted butter until the wet mixture is well combined.

Step 3

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to gently stir the mixture just until combined. Do not overmix; small lumps are fine.

Step 4

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease the surface with a small amount of butter or non-stick spray.

Step 5

Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter onto the hot skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the top and the edges look set, approximately 2-3 minutes.

Step 6

Flip the pancakes with a spatula and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown.

Step 7

Repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the skillet as needed.

Step 8

Serve the pancakes warm, drizzled with maple syrup.
