Ingredients

  • 200 grams Rolled oats
  • 50 grams Whey protein powder
  • 100 grams Honey
  • 100 grams Peanut butter
  • 100 grams Unsalted butter
  • 50 grams Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 50 grams Chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 20x20 cm (8x8 inch) baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large saucepan, melt the butter, peanut butter, honey, and brown sugar over low heat, stirring occasionally until smooth.

Step 3

Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.

Step 4

Add the rolled oats, whey protein powder, and chopped nuts (if using) into the saucepan; mix until the ingredients are well combined and the oats are fully coated.

Step 5

Spread the oat mixture evenly into the prepared baking tray, pressing down firmly with the back of a spoon to ensure evenness.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

Step 7

Allow the flapjacks to cool in the tray for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 8

Once cooled, cut into 12 equal-sized bars and store in an airtight container.
