Step 1

Begin by preparing the tapioca pearls. In a medium saucepan, bring 500 ml of water to a boil. Add the tapioca pearls and stir gently to prevent them from sticking together.

Once the pearls float to the top, reduce the heat to medium and cook for an additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Turn off the heat and let the pearls sit in the hot water for another 5 minutes. This will ensure they are fully cooked and chewy.
