Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup whey protein powder, vanilla flavor
  • 0.5 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips
  • 0.25 cup dark chocolate, melted (for stripes)
  • 0.25 cup white chocolate, melted (for stripes)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Step 3

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until the wet ingredients are well combined.

Step 4

In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and whey protein powder.

Step 5

Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until incorporated.

Step 6

Fold in the dark chocolate chips and white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Step 7

Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches (5 cm) between each cookie to allow for spreading.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.

Step 9

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 10

Once the cookies are cool, drizzle the melted dark and white chocolate over the tops of the cookies to create a striped pattern. Let the chocolate set before serving.
