  • 1.75 cups All-purpose flour

  • 1.5 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Boiling water
  • 0.5 cup Butter, softened
  • 0.66 cup Unsweetened Hershey's cocoa powder (for frosting)
  • 3 cups Powdered sugar
  • 0.33 cup Whole milk (for frosting)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (for frosting)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, Hershey's cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir until evenly mixed.

Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat the mixture on medium speed for about 2 minutes until smooth.
