Ingredients

  • 3 pieces Large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.125 teaspoons Ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cups Shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until fully combined and slightly frothy.

Step 2

Stir in the chopped parsley and chives to evenly distribute the herbs throughout the mixture.

Step 3

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Let the butter melt completely and coat the pan, but ensure it doesn’t brown.

Step 4

Once the skillet is hot, pour the egg mixture into the pan, tilting it slightly to spread the eggs evenly across the surface.

Step 5

Cook the omelet undisturbed for about 2-3 minutes, or until the edges start to set but the center is still slightly runny.

Step 6

Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over one-half of the omelet.

Step 7

Using a spatula, carefully fold the other half of the omelet over the cheese to create a half-moon shape.

Step 8

Continue cooking for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the omelet is cooked through but still soft and fluffy.

Step 9

Slide the omelet onto a plate, garnish with extra herbs if desired, and serve hot.
