Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated crescent dough
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 cup Asiago cheese, grated
  • 0.25 teaspoon coarse sea salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Step 2

Roll out the refrigerated crescent dough into a flat sheet. Gently press any perforations together to create a seamless sheet of dough.

Step 3

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, just until fragrant. Remove from heat.

Step 4

Brush the melted garlic butter evenly over the surface of the dough using a pastry brush.

Step 5

Sprinkle the chopped parsley, chopped thyme, grated Asiago cheese, sea salt, and cracked black pepper evenly over the buttery surface.

Step 6

Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut the dough horizontally into 1-inch-wide strips.

Step 7

Carefully twist each strip a few times and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes or until the strips are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Step 9

Allow the strips to cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving warm.
