Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 0.25 cup Hellman’s Real Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 2 stalks scallions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • 12 pieces bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, combine Hellman’s Real Mayonnaise, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined to create the marinade.

Step 2

Place the shrimp in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the shrimp, ensuring they are evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

Step 3

While the shrimp is marinating, preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.

Step 4

Thread 2-3 shrimp onto each soaked bamboo skewer. Discard any leftover marinade.

Step 5

Grill the shrimp skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are opaque and fully cooked through.

Step 6

Transfer the kabobs to a serving platter and garnish with sliced scallions and sesame seeds, if desired.

Step 7

Serve immediately as a delicious appetizer. Enjoy!
