Ingredients

  • 10 oz tortilla chips
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup black beans (canned, drained and rinsed)
  • 1 cup tomatoes (diced)
  • 0.25 cup jalapeños (sliced)
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cup guacamole
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp green onions (sliced)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks (about 7-8 minutes).

Step 3

Add the taco seasoning and water to the skillet with the beef. Stir well, reduce the heat to medium, and let simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat.

Step 4

On a large baking sheet or ovenproof platter, arrange an even layer of tortilla chips.

Step 5

Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the chips.

Step 6

Evenly distribute the seasoned ground beef, black beans, and jalapeños over the chips.

Step 7

Top the nachos with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 8

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.

Step 9

Carefully remove the nachos from the oven and let cool for 2 minutes.

Step 10

Garnish the nachos with diced tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole, fresh cilantro, and sliced green onions.

Step 11

Serve immediately and enjoy!
