Ingredients

  • 3 cups (cubed) Fresh watermelon
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons 100% orange juice (no added sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon Agave nectar (optional, for added sweetness)
  • 1 cup Ice
  • 0.5 cup Sparkling water
  • 1 teaspoon Sea salt or chili powder (optional, for rimming the glass)
  • 4 leaves Mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

1. Place the watermelon cubes in a blender and blend until smooth. This should yield about 1.5 cups of watermelon juice. Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother texture, if desired.

Step 2

2. In a small bowl or plate, spread the sea salt or chili powder. Moisten the rim of your serving glasses with a lime wedge, then dip the rims into the salt or chili powder to coat. Leave aside.

Step 3

3. In a blender or cocktail shaker, combine the strained watermelon juice, lime juice, orange juice, agave nectar (if using), and ice. Blend or shake until well combined and chilled.

Step 4

4. Divide the mixture evenly into the prepared glasses, filling each about three-quarters full.

Step 5

5. Top off each glass with sparkling water for a fizzy finish.

Step 6

6. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a small watermelon wedge, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
