Ingredients

  • 1 pound Broccoli
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoons Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 medium Lemon
  • 1 pinch Salt (optional, low-sodium recommended)
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the broccoli thoroughly under cold water. Cut the broccoli into evenly-sized florets to ensure uniform steaming, and trim the stalks if desired.

Peel and thinly slice the garlic cloves. Set aside.

Zest the lemon and set the zest aside. Then, cut the lemon in half and juice it into a small bowl, removing any seeds.
