Ingredients

  • 1 medium Watermelon
  • 1 medium Cantaloupe
  • 1 medium Honeydew melon
  • 0.5 cup Fresh mint leaves
  • 3 tablespoons Lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 0.25 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Start by washing the outside of all your melons thoroughly. This prevents any bacteria from transferring when you cut through the melon.

Step 2

Cut each melon in half and remove the seeds using a spoon.

Step 3

Use a melon baller to scoop out round balls from each melon half. Place the melon balls into a large mixing bowl.

Step 4

Repeat until you have about equal amounts of watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew melon balls.

Step 5

Rinse and pat dry fresh mint leaves, then finely chop them. Add the chopped mint to the bowl of melon balls.

Step 6

In a small separate bowl, whisk together lime juice, honey, sea salt, and ground black pepper until well combined.

Step 7

Pour the dressing over the melon and mint mixture in the large bowl.

Step 8

Gently toss all ingredients together with a large spoon to ensure an even distribution of the dressing.

Step 9

Refrigerate the melon ball salad for at least 15 minutes before serving, allowing the flavors to meld.

Step 10

Serve chilled as a refreshing appetizer or a light dessert option. Enjoy the heart-healthy goodness!
