Ingredients

  • 10 sheets Whole wheat phyllo dough
  • 1 cup Unsalted pistachios, shelled
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Orange zest

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a food processor, combine the pistachios, cinnamon, cardamom, and orange zest. Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped but not a paste.

Step 3

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the honey, olive oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until well blended and warm. Do not boil.

Unroll the phyllo dough and cover it with a damp towel to prevent it from drying out. Take one sheet of phyllo dough and brush lightly with a small amount of the olive oil mixture.
