  • 28 ounces Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 cups Fresh spinach leaves
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the whole wheat penne pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
