Ingredients

  • 1 pound Whole wheat pizza dough

  • 6 leaves Fresh basil leaves
  • 0.25 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat as well.

Step 2

Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet or preheated pizza stone.

Step 3

Spread the low-sodium tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a half-inch border around the edges for the crust.
