Ingredients

  • 16 oz Ground lean turkey
  • 0.25 cup Rolled oats
  • 2 large Egg whites
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Dried sage
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Paprika
  • 0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lean turkey, rolled oats, and egg whites. Mix gently until well combined.

Step 2

Add the garlic powder, onion powder, dried sage, black pepper, salt, paprika, and red pepper flakes to the mixture. Stir thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the turkey mixture.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions, approximately 2 oz each. Shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 4

Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Step 5

Once the skillet is hot, add the sausage patties in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.

Step 6

Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and golden brown. Internal temperature should reach 165°F.

Step 7

Remove the cooked patties from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

Step 8

Serve warm as part of a heart-healthy breakfast or wrap them for meal prep.
