Step 1

Begin by draining the tofu and patting it dry with paper towels. To remove excess moisture, wrap the tofu in a clean kitchen towel, place a weight on top, and let it sit for about 15 minutes.

While the tofu is being pressed, prepare the marinade. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the low-sodium soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, onion powder, and ground black pepper. Stir the mixture until well combined.
