  • 0.25 cup Honey
  • 0.75 cup Low-fat buttermilk
  • 1 item Large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 4 cups Canola oil (for frying)

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.

In another bowl, mix the unsweetened applesauce, olive oil, and honey until well combined.
