Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground turkey
  • 100 grams reduced-fat cheddar cheese
  • 50 grams rolled oats
  • 1 large egg white
  • 50 grams baby spinach
  • 0.5 medium red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 as needed cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

Finely chop the red onion, garlic, and baby spinach, setting them aside for later.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped onion, garlic, baby spinach, and rolled oats.

Step 3

Grate the reduced-fat cheddar cheese and add it to the turkey mixture.

Step 4

Add the egg white, ground black pepper, salt, and dried oregano to the bowl. Mix all the ingredients until they are well combined, but be careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 5

Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a small patty about 2 cm thick.

Step 6

Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly coat the skillet with cooking spray if necessary.

Step 7

Place the turkey patties in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until the patties are golden brown and fully cooked through.

Step 8

Ensure the internal temperature of the patties reaches at least 165°F (74°C) to ensure they are safely cooked.

Step 9

Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Step 10

Serve the patties warm, either on their own or as a sandwich filler, accompanied by a fresh salad or steamed vegetables of your choice.
