  • 4 slices Whole grain bread
  • 4 slices Reduced-fat mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large Tomato
  • 8 leaves Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Balsamic vinegar
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a panini press or grill pan over medium heat.

Step 2

Slice the tomato into 8 even slices and set aside.

Step 3

Spread olive oil on one side of each slice of whole grain bread.

Step 4

Place two slices of bread, oil-side-down, on a clean surface and layer each with two slices of reduced-fat mozzarella cheese.

Step 5

Arrange 4 slices of tomato over the cheese on each piece of bread.

Step 6

Top the tomatoes with fresh basil leaves, evenly distributing four leaves per sandwich.

Step 7
