1. In a large mixing bowl, combine besan (gram flour) and 0.5 teaspoon of salt.
2. Gradually add 0.75 cup of water to the besan, whisking continuously to avoid lumps. The batter should be smooth and of pouring consistency, similar to pancake batter.
3. Stir in the chopped onion, tomato, green chili, cilantro, spinach, turmeric powder, and cumin seeds. Mix well to integrate all the ingredients into the batter.
