Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
  • 8 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup Hot sauce (e.g., Frank's RedHot)
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Optional: Chopped parsley for garnish

Directions

Step 1

Place the chicken wings into a large pot and fill with 8 cups of water. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water.

Step 2

Bring the pot to a boil over medium-high heat and allow the wings to cook for 10 minutes.

Step 3

While the wings are boiling, preheat your oven’s broiler to high and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top to allow for even cooking.

Step 4

Once the wings are boiled, use tongs to transfer them onto the wire rack. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

Step 5

In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder and paprika together. Sprinkle the seasoning evenly over both sides of the wings.

Step 6

Place the wings under the broiler, about 6 inches from the heat source. Broil for 8-10 minutes per side, or until the skin is crispy and golden brown.

Step 7

While the wings are broiling, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in the hot sauce and honey until well combined. Remove from heat.

Step 8

Once the wings are done broiling, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.

Step 9

Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately. Enjoy your healthier buffalo wings!
