Ingredients

  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 12 ounces canned tuna in water, drained
  • 2 cans (10.5 ounces each) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish with olive oil or cooking spray.

Step 2

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained canned tuna, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, frozen peas, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Step 4

Add the cooked egg noodles to the tuna mixture and gently toss until the noodles are evenly coated.

Step 5

Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish, spreading it out evenly.

Step 6

In a small bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with the melted butter until the crumbs are well-coated. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.

Step 7

Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the breadcrumbs for an extra cheesy topping.

Step 8

Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbling around the edges.

Step 9

Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm and enjoy!
