Ingredients

  • 0.5 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 pound Pork sausage
  • 8 ounces Velveeta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 12 slices Cocktail rye bread
  • 0.25 teaspoon Optional: Red pepper flakes

Directions

Step 1

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and pork sausage together, breaking them into crumbles until fully browned and no pink remains. This should take about 8-10 minutes.

Step 2

Drain excess grease from the skillet and return the meat to the pan.

Step 3

Cut the Velveeta cheese into small cubes and stir it into the skillet with the cooked meat.

Step 4

Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes to the skillet. Stir continuously over low heat until the cheese has melted completely and the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Step 5

Preheat your oven's broiler to high.

Step 6

Arrange the cocktail rye bread slices on a baking sheet in a single layer.

Step 7

Spoon a heaping tablespoon of the meat and cheese mixture onto each slice of bread, spreading it evenly to cover the surface.

Step 8

Place the baking sheet under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the edges of the bread are crispy and the topping is bubbly and slightly browned.

Step 9

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the Hanky Panky S cool slightly before serving.

Step 10

Serve warm as an appetizer or snack. Enjoy!
