  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 large, thinly sliced yellow onion
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 480 milliliters beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a thick, oval patty.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the hamburger patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through. Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside.
