Ingredients

  • 2 sheets Puff pastry sheets
  • 200 grams Cooked ham, diced
  • 150 grams Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 100 grams Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheets slightly to smooth the edges, then cut each sheet into four equal squares.

Step 3

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley (if using). Mix well until evenly combined.

Step 4

Place a heaping tablespoon of the ham and cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.

Step 5

Fold each square into a triangle by bringing two opposite corners together, then press the edges firmly with a fork to seal.

Step 6

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk to create an egg wash.

Step 7

Brush the tops of the puffs with the egg wash to ensure a golden, shiny finish.

Step 8

Transfer the puffs to the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each for puffing while baking.

Step 9

Bake the puffs in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.

Step 10

Remove the puffs from the oven and let them cool slightly on a wire rack before serving. Serve warm and enjoy!
