Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumb
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 tomato slices
  • 4 cheese slices (optional)
  • 0 condiments (ketchup, mustard, or mayo)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumb, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Step 2

Mix the ingredients well using your hands or a fork until everything is evenly incorporated.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.

Step 4

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add olive oil.

Step 5

Once the skillet is hot, place the burger patties into the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on one side.

Step 6

Flip the patties and cook for another 5-6 minutes on the other side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 7

If using cheese slices, place them on top of the patties in the last 2 minutes of cooking and cover the skillet to let the cheese melt.

Step 8

Toast the burger buns lightly in a toaster, oven, or on the skillet for extra texture and warmth.

Step 9

Assemble the burgers by layering lettuce, tomato slices, the cooked chicken patty, and any condiments of your choice onto the bottom half of the buns.

Step 10

Top with the other half of the bun and repeat with the remaining patties.

Step 11

Serve the burgers warm and enjoy!
