Total Time:30 mins
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Honey
  • 0.5 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • 4 pieces Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, honey, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended to create the marinade.

Step 2

Place the peeled and deveined shrimp in the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.

Step 3

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 15 minutes to prevent burning.

Step 4

Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, leaving a small space between each shrimp to ensure even cooking. Reserve any leftover marinade for basting.

Step 5

Grill the shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and opaque. While grilling, brush the shrimp with the leftover marinade for extra flavor.

Step 6

Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the grill and transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Step 7

Enjoy your Grilled Shrimp Scampi with Soy Sauce, Ginger, and Garlic as a main dish or paired with a side of rice, noodles, or a fresh salad.
