Ingredients

  • 500 g Prawns, large, cleaned and deveined
  • 60 ml Olive oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic, finely minced
  • 1 unit Lemon, juice and zest
  • 30 g Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper, freshly ground
  • 0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 10 units Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, if using. Mix well to create the marinade.

Step 2

Add the cleaned and deveined prawns to the bowl and toss thoroughly to ensure all prawns are coated evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate.

Step 3

While the prawns are marinating, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Step 4

Once the grill is ready, thread the marinated prawns onto the soaked wooden skewers, making sure they are snug but not too tight.

Step 5

Place the prawn skewers on the hot grill. Cook for approximately 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque, indicating they are perfectly cooked.

Step 6

Remove the prawns from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
