Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Marlin fillets
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lime juice
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 whole Mango, diced
  • 1 cup Pineapple, diced
  • 1 whole Red bell pepper, diced
  • 0.25 cup Red onion, finely diced
  • 1 whole Jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 0.25 cup Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice (for salsa)
  • 1 teaspoon Honey
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt (for salsa)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.

Step 2

Place the marlin fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag, and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the fillets are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.

Step 3

While the fish is marinating, prepare the tropical fruit salsa. Combine the diced mango, pineapple, red bell pepper, red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro in a medium bowl.

Step 4

Add the lime juice, honey, and salt to the fruit mixture, and gently toss to combine. Set aside and let the flavors meld while grilling the fish.

Step 5

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

Step 6

Remove the marlin fillets from the marinade and allow any excess marinade to drip off.

Step 7

Place the marlin fillets on the preheated grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

Step 8

Transfer the grilled marlin to serving plates and top each fillet with a generous spoonful of the tropical fruit salsa.

Step 9

Serve immediately and enjoy your Grilled Marlin with Tropical Fruit Salsa!
