Ingredients

  • 12 pieces large cremini or white button mushrooms
  • 100 grams Gorgonzola cheese
  • 50 grams cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumb (optional)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and gently remove the stems. Set aside the caps and finely chop the removed stems.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, combine Gorgonzola cheese, cream cheese, parsley, minced garlic, chopped mushroom stems, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Step 3

If using breadcrumbs, stir them into the filling mixture for added texture.

Step 4

Using a small spoon, carefully stuff each mushroom cap with the prepared Gorgonzola mixture. Make sure the filling is slightly mounded on top of each cap.

Step 5

Brush each stuffed mushroom lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking and assist with grilling.

Step 6

Preheat the grill to medium heat (about 375°F/190°C). If using a grilling basket or tray, spray it lightly with oil to avoid sticking.

Step 7

Place the mushrooms directly on the grill or in the prepared grilling basket. Close the grill lid and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden and bubbling.

Step 8

Carefully remove the mushrooms from the grill and allow them to cool slightly before serving.

Step 9

Garnish with additional chopped parsley, if desired, and serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.
