Ingredients

  • 6 ears Fresh corn on the cob
  • 85 grams Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh orange juice
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 375-400°F (190-200°C).

Step 2

Peel back the husks of the corn, but do not completely remove them. Remove the silk threads from each ear and then fold the husks back into place. Soak the corn in a large bowl of cold water for 10 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.

Step 3

While the corn soaks, prepare the hoisin orange butter. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, hoisin sauce, orange zest, orange juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined. Set aside.

Step 4

Remove the corn from the water and gently pat it dry with a clean kitchen towel.

Step 5

Place the corn directly on the grill grates. Cook for 12-15 minutes, turning every few minutes to ensure all sides are evenly charred and cooked. The husks may slightly brown or blacken, which helps steam the corn inside.

Step 6

Once the corn is grilled, remove it from the grill and carefully peel back or remove the husks completely.

Step 7

While the corn is still hot, generously brush it with the hoisin orange butter, ensuring each ear is evenly coated.

Step 8

Optional: Sprinkle with chopped fresh cilantro for a burst of color and added flavor.

Step 9

Serve immediately and enjoy your Grilled Corn with Hoisin Orange Butter!
