Ingredients

  • 24 pieces Fresh littleneck clams
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 cup Dry white wine
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley
  • 1 piece Lemon
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 1 loaf Crusty bread

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the clams in cold water and scrub their shells to remove any sand or debris. Discard any clams that are open and do not close when tapped.

Step 2

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Step 3

Mince the garlic and chop the parsley. Cut the lemon into wedges and set aside.

Step 4

Heat a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the butter and olive oil, allowing the butter to melt completely.

Step 5

Add the minced garlic to the saucepan and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

Step 6

Pour in the white wine and bring the mixture to a simmer. Add kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes to slightly reduce and combine the flavors. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.

Step 7

Place the cleaned clams directly on the preheated grill. Close the grill lid and cook for 5-6 minutes, checking occasionally, until the clams open up. Discard any clams that do not open.

Step 8

Transfer the grilled clams to a serving platter and immediately drizzle the garlicky white wine sauce over them.

Step 9

Serve with lemon wedges on the side and slices of crusty bread for dipping into the sauce.

Step 10

Enjoy your Grilled Clams with Garlicky White Wine Sauce while hot!
