Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag tater tots
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 3

Dice the yellow onion and mince the garlic. Add them to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.

Step 4

Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.

Step 5

Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well to combine.

Step 6

Add the frozen mixed vegetables to the skillet and stir until evenly distributed.

Step 7

Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Step 8

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the mixture.

Step 9

Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese, completely covering the surface.

Step 10

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.

Step 11

Let the hotdish cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
