Ingredients

  • 1 lb Sirloin steak
  • 2 Green bell peppers
  • 1 large Onion
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup Beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 4 cups Cooked white rice

Directions

Step 1

Slice the sirloin steak into thin strips, approximately 2 inches long.

Step 2

Cut the green bell peppers into thin strips and slice the onion into wedges. Mince the garlic cloves.

Step 3

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, beef broth, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper, and cornstarch until well combined. Set the sauce mixture aside.

Step 4

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Step 5

Add the steak strips to the hot skillet in a single layer and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

Step 6

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the green bell peppers, onion wedges, and minced garlic, and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Step 7

Return the cooked steak to the skillet, and pour the sauce mixture over the ingredients. Stir immediately to coat everything evenly in the sauce.

Step 8

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly and everything is heated through.

Step 9

Remove from heat and serve the green pepper steak over cooked white rice. Enjoy!
