Ingredients

  • 450 grams fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 60 grams hazelnuts, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Fill a large pot with water, add a generous pinch of salt, and bring to a boil.

Add the trimmed green beans to the boiling water and blanch them for 3–4 minutes, or until they are bright green and tender-crisp.

Drain the green beans and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, drain and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
